Continuous Manufacturing Panel Features Delavau General Manager Jay Jones
NEW YORK – March 9, 2017 – Delavau Pharmaceutical Partners General Manager Jay Jones is speaking on behalf of the company as a part of INTERPHEX Live’s “Continuous Manufacturing Opportunities Keep Expanding in Pharma” panel in New York City on March 22.
An alternative to traditional batch manufacturing, the continuous manufacturing process minimizes the handling of materials and product. In turn, the potential for human error is reduced and tablet size and weight consistency is increased. Continuous manufacturing is widely recognized as the future of the VMS and OTC industry.
“Most contract manufacturers are only in the research phase of continuous manufacturing process,” Jones said. “Delavau is leading the charge as the only contract manufacturer of OTC and VMS products using the technology in day-to-day operations.”
Jones has more than 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical operations management. He was instrumental in the implementation of continuous manufacturing at Delavau. A subject matter expert, Jay is frequently invited to speak as a panelist regarding the opportunities that continuous manufacturing processes present.
Based in New York, INTERPHEX brings together thousands of industry professionals and suppliers for its annual technical conference. Jones’ panel will take place from 3:45-4:30 p.m. in the Crystal Palace CP-2 of the Javits Convention Center.
